i think they like each other!!!!

i think they like each other!!!!

i was soo good at taking "brother shots" every so often, but for some reason it has been a terribly long while since i got a good one. maybe it's the busy-ness of the 2 of them, maybe it's the busy-ness of me....

when i got this shot, i knew it was a keeper! aiden, though still screaming lots, has become quite the lover boy recently! he is filled with loads of these types of hugs (we call them bear hugs as they usually come with a tight squeeze and a little growl), and many open mouthed kisses.
the screaming has settled a little. now it's usually an excited moment that you hear it, rather then the full blown continual scream all day. i have also noticed more of an attempt to communicate with us (ie: screaming with points towards something).
it's ok because i'm rather enjoying his "happy run" (flailing hands and squealing with excitement) and his love mood!!!

shadfest 2010

this last saturday we had our friend, christine, come over and hang with the boys/proctor my aim application tests. it was a HUGE help and took almost the entire day! afterwards, we decided to head over to penn treaty park for the shadfest. though the pictures look like a typical trip to the park for us marlins, plus an extra treat of ice cream, we had fun winding thru people and vendors, seeing familiar faces, watching the hu-la-hoopers, and jamming with the music!!! next year i would like to spend more time there, and maybe get a spot on the grass to really enjoy the music with the boys (they just love music!!!). christine, you of course are welcome to plot your spot next to us and join in on the fun again!!! :0)

making a house your home

somehow, the work of a homeowner is never finished! there is always something to be tidied/straightened and always something you want to do to "better" your living space or make it more homey. this week i got some window treatments that make the window appear like stained glass. many of you who have been here have seen my backdoor where i actually put on a design and painted it. this is similar, but much easier, and cheaper too! i added it to the one window as our blinds recently broke beyond "still workable". the design i found at home depot is beautiful and the colors match perfectly (the orange matches the wall and the blue matches the new sofa, pulling it all together). i may just do the bottom window too!!!
